NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD

This communication serves as the official Notice of Intent to Award notification for the Request for Proposals (RFP) for   CMAAA2019-01 – Central Midlands Senior Services (July 1, 2019-June 30, 2020)

Group Dining

Assure the provision of at least one meal per day for a minimum of five days a week that meets the nutritional requirements defined by the State Unit on Aging (Older Americans Act, Sec. 331.1)

Home Delivered Meals

Provides service management and meals that meet nutritional requirements for five or more days a week.

 Homemaker

Provide assistance to older individuals, families and/or caregivers in areas such as preparing meals, shopping for personal and household items, using the telephone, and doing light housework.

Personal Care

Provide assistance such as stand-by assistance, supervision or cues with activities such as eating, bathing, toileting, transferring in/out of bed or chair, waling, dressing, grooming, and verbal reminders/observation of self-administration of daily medication.

Evidence Based Disease Prevention and Health Promotion

Help older adults prevent and/or manage chronic diseases and promote healthier lifestyles.

Transportation-Group Dining

Maintain personal independence or improve quality of life of older adults by providing transportation to eligible individuals enabling them to reduce social isolation by participation in group dining.

Transportation-Essential Trips

Maintain personal independence or improve the quality of life of older adults by providing transportation to eligible individuals enabling them to destinations and services necessary for independent living and quality of life.

Legal Services

Ensure that South Carolinians, age 60 or older, with the greatest social and economic need receive quality advice, representation, and referral to legal resources; assisting older individuals in securing and maintaining their legal rights.

In accordance with the Central Midlands Council of Governments (CMCOG) Contract Appeals Procedure, there will be a ten (10) working day protest period to file any grievances against this action.  Please submit any and all protests in writing to Benjamin J. Mauldin, Executive Director of the CMCOG by 5:00 p.m. on June 7, 2019.  Please ensure that the grounds of the protest are set forth and that the relief requested is with enough particularity to give notice of the issues to be decided.
