The Central Midlands Council of Governments (CMCOG) currently has the proposed – 2023 – 2025 Area Agency on Aging Area Plan available for public review and comment. The Area is designed to report the status of older adults in the areas of service, the structure of the AAA’s priorities based on the results of the needs assessment, and to set the aging agenda for proper planning in specific service areas to improve the aging experience in the home and community.

This document may be reviewed at the offices of CMCOG, located at 236 Stoneridge Drive, Columbia, SC 29210, and/or by appointment between the hours of 8:45 AM and 4:45 PM, Monday – Friday. This document may also be reviewed on the CMCOG Internet website at www.centralmidlands.org. Accessible formats for individuals with disabilities can be made available on an as needed basis. Individuals requiring accessible formats should contact CMCOG immediately and allow not less than 10 working days from the date of the request to receive the materials in a format they can use.

A public hearing to discuss the contents of the 2023 – 2025 Area Agency on Aging Area Plan will be held on July 6^th at the Richland County Library – Main Branch, 1431 Assembly Street, Columbia, SC 29201 on the Second Floor, Meeting Room N from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

All written comments received shall, as applicable, be made a part of the CMCOG records of public in-put. Please be advised that if no comments are received and/or no additional changes have been made, then, as presented, this document will be published as the final document.
