BIDS DUE: SEPTEMBER 16, 2020 at 2:00 PM

 

The City of Newberry is seeking Bids from SCDHEC-licensed firms to prepare initial Asbestos Assessments and, if required by SCDHEC regulation 61-86.1, Project Design and Air Monitoring services for approximately forty-two (42) privately owned vacant, dilapidated houses that will be demolished in the West End Neighborhood. The houses are of varying size and are located in a concentrated target area within the City of Newberry.

 

You are invited to submit a bid in accordance with the specifications in the Request for Bids package.  To obtain a copy of the Request for Bids package, contact Gregory Sprouse, Director of Research, Planning, and Development at [email protected] or (803) 744-5158.

 

Bids must be returned in writing to the attention of: Gregory Sprouse, Central Midlands Council of Governments, 236 Stoneridge Drive, Columbia, SC 29210 no later than 2:00 PM on September 16, 2020.

 

No late bids will be accepted. This solicitation does not commit the City of Newberry or Central Midlands Council of Governments to award a contract or pay any costs incurred in the preparation of the BID or to procure or contract for services.

 

This project is funded in part by the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program provided by the South Carolina Department of Commerce. All federal CDBG requirements will apply to the contract. All contractors and subcontractors are required to be registered in the federal System for Award Management (SAM).  Bidders on this work will be required to comply with the President’s Executive Order No. 11246 & Order No. 11375 which prohibits discrimination in employment regarding race, creed, color, sex, or national origin.  Bidders must comply with Title VI if the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Davis-Bacon Act, the Anti-Kickback Act, the Contract Work Hours and Safety Standards Act, and 40 CFR 33.240.
